Diet week 5 - Eating out on the alli diet

This is then end of week 5. This week I have remained the same weight.

This has been one of the hardest weeks as I've been travelling for most of it and so eating out each night. We were away for the weekend for our anniversary at the weekend, then I've been in Amsterdam from Monday to Thursday.

I have had a mixed experience with the restaurants and cafes that I've been to. One was particularly good in that it had a easy to follow menu and - Gouchos Grill restaurant in Amsterdam. I had fish with grilled vegatables and was confident that the meal was below the 15g of fat and so took alli with that meal.

The others have not been so good, and even where I have had healthy options there has been hidden fat, or they have been cooked in fat so it was hard to judge.
This includes eating at the hotel restaurant where I had another fish dish served on potatoes and sourcraut, but the fish
seamed to be particularly oily so may have been cooked in fat. In fact the menu listed "healthy eating options", but that did not
necessarily indicate it was low fat (or at least not as much as is needed for the alli diet).

Where I have been unsure about the fat content I have gone for a more healthy option, but not taken alli so as to avoid the potential side-effects.

Breakfasts have not been too difficult. Although they had sausages and lots of other food I'd rather have, I instead had egg on toast, or a ham sandwich from the
continental breakfast, and then followed it with fresh fruit.

Fortunately lunches were quite easy as where I was working had a self-service lunch option with the fat content marked on the

food (although it was written in Dutch - it was possible to determine what the wording meant by process of elimination).

When I went on our Anniversary weekend the hotel did have a pool so I got plenty of exercise then. The hotel in Amsterdam did not,

but I did manage to do plenty of walking, and I opted to walk up and down the stairs to the 5th floor rather than go in the lift.

I do feel as though I am loosing weight as I am more reliant on the belt on my trousers and am finding some clothes fitting better, but there is still a long way to go.
